New York's Big Egg Hunt

Faberge, the UK Jewelry company, sponsored a big egg hunt in New York leading up to Easter. With 260 eggs placed all over the five boroughs, it was the world's biggest Easter egg hunt. You could download the app and then search for eggs all over the city. Each egg had a code that you could scan and then the app would count it. I loved the concept and it had a fun way of unifying New Yorkers. I found Waldo at 30 Rock on a weeknight and then met up with Scott where we found another outside his office. The eggs were all so different and fun works of art.

My friend, Kelsey, and I spent one of the first days of spring egg hunting throughout Central Park, the Upper West Side, and the Upper East Side. It was the warmest day we had all year and we even found some flowers blossoming. We run/walked quite a bit and just enjoyed the sunshine. Our "run" quickly turned into a treat tour with stops at Absolute Bagels, Pinkberry, and Lauderee for macaroons.

This artsy Aphrodite was pretty neat and I'm so mature. Also, I was very overdressed for the MET.

It was cool to see the shop owners get into the egg hunt as well. They welcomed everyone in with such enthusiasm.

While we were out, Kelsey realized the new Sprinkles ATM had just opened. So naturally, we had to check it out. It was the best run ever. Kels and I need to work out together more often. We even stopped by the J.Crew Collection store on Madison Avenue to hi to Laura. Needless to say, it was a successful outing.

At the end of the month, all of the eggs could be seen "nesting" on the plaza at 30 Rock. My friend, Anna, was in town visiting so we had to go check them out. This whole egg hunt really encompassed the spirit of the city for me. No place does holidays like New York. Faberge has yet to do this again - but I wish they would bring it back every year.
